Paying for it

The website side, Stripe, was run end to end with a real card on 2026-09-19 (docs/launch.md Step 11): subscribe, the trial emails, the first charge, cancel, keep, refund, delete. The iPhone side, Apple, hasn't run yet (Steps 13–18), which is why the entries below still say Built, unproven. Nothing locks anyone out until billing is switched on in Step 12.

One price, 14 days free

$24 a month or $192 a year, and the first 14 days are free.

There's no free plan, because the scheduling only shows what it can do with your real week in it. A trial long enough to watch a week rebuild itself twice is the honest way to find out whether it's worth paying for.

How to use it

On youwillgetstuffdone.com/pricing, press Start your free trial under the plan you want. New here? It makes your account on the way — the page names the plan you picked; tick I agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (the button stays off until you do), then Email me a code, type it, Create my account and continue — and goes straight on to checkout. Sign-in has no box: a line under its button says that continuing means agreeing, because a code from there can make an account too. The iPhone's sign-in says the same under Send me a code, linking Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. On the iPhone it's two screens: What's your email? → Send me a code, then Check your email, where the code goes into six boxes — iOS's "From Mail" suggestion fills them, and a full code signs you in by itself (Sign in is there too, with Send another code and Different email under it). Already got an account? Sign in on that page does the same for you. Checkout is a Stripe page: it asks for a card, charges nothing today, and shows the terms above the pay button. Founding members pay $149 a year for as long as they stay subscribed; the offer runs until December 31 and nothing else closes it. There's no cap on places.

The honest version

The trial is once per account. A card is required, and it's charged when the trial ends unless you've cancelled. Two emails come before that charge: one the moment your trial starts, saying what you'll be charged and how to cancel, and one 3 days before the charge, with the amount. The first one doesn't name the day your trial ends; Settings does. The founding price holds for as long as that subscription runs; cancel and come back later and you pay the price at the time.

Subscribe in the iPhone app

Start your 14 days free right in the app, with your Apple Account.

Most people find YWGSD on their phone. Sending them off to a website to start would lose them at the last step.

How to use it

On a new account the plans come at the end of setup, right after your first three things land on your calendar, under Your day's ready. Sign in to an account without a subscription any other time and they're the first thing you see. The plans are Yearly, Monthly, and Founding member while places are left, each with its price from the App Store; the yearly ones also say what that comes to a month. Under them, How the free trial works lays out Today, Day 12 and Day 14. Pick one and press Start 14 days free (or Subscribe, if this Apple Account has already had its trial). Apple's payment sheet does the rest, and the app opens. Bought it before, on another phone? Restore purchases. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are right there too.

The honest version

Apple takes the payment, so Apple's rules apply. Cancelling happens in your iPhone's Settings, and Manage subscription under Settings → Subscription opens it. Refunds are Apple's call: Request a refund asks Apple, which usually answers within 48 hours, and the website's one-click refund doesn't cover App Store purchases. The trial is once per Apple Account in the app and once per account on the website, and the two don't know about each other. Prices show in your own currency, set by Apple.

Start a free trial in the app and it asks to send you notifications. Say yes and it reminds you two days before the trial ends, at 10am. Say no and the app has no way to remind you.

Setup is free, and so is watching your first three things land. After that — or 24 hours after you signed up, whichever comes first — it's a plan or nothing. That window is once per account, and it doesn't reopen for anyone who has already had a trial.

Discount codes

Got a code? There's a box for it at checkout.

It's how test accounts get made without paying, and how any future offer runs, without building anything new.

How to use it

On Stripe's checkout page, use its promotion code box before paying.

The honest version

A card is still needed, even with a code that makes it free. Stripe can't ask for a card on trials and skip it for free codes on the same checkout, and the trial needs the card. A 100%-off code means it's never charged.

When there's no subscription

No subscription, no app — but nothing you set up goes anywhere.

An ended subscription shouldn't feel like losing your data. It isn't: only Delete my account deletes anything — Settings → Account → Delete my account on the web, Settings → Account → Delete my account on the iPhone.

How to use it

Sign in without a running subscription and the web shows See plans and Delete my account instead of the calendar. The iPhone shows the plans (see Subscribe in the iPhone app), with an Account row underneath: Check again, Sign out and Delete my account live there. Already subscribed? Account, then Check again.

The honest version

Edits made on the phone while locked out wait in its queue and go through once there's a subscription again.

Cancel in one click

Cancel whenever, and keep everything you've paid for.

The worst reviews in this category are about being charged after trying to leave. Leaving here takes one button.

How to use it

On the web, Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription. It's done straight away, and Keep my subscription appears in the same place until the period ends. On the phone, Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription, then confirm with Cancel subscription (or Keep it). Subscribed in the iPhone app? Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription opens Apple's screen, where cancelling happens.

The honest version

Cancelling stops the next charge; it doesn't refund time you've already paid for. You get an email saying so, with the day your access ends and a reminder that nothing's deleted. Keep my subscription and Update card are web only, for website subscriptions; an App Store subscription is changed in Apple's own screen, and Apple sends its own confirmation.

Refund your first payment

Forgot to cancel? Your first payment back, within 7 days, no questions.

The free trial needs a card, so the first charge happens on its own when the 14 days are up. If that catches you out, you can undo it yourself without writing to anybody.

How to use it

Settings → Subscription → Refund my first payment, shown while the window's open, with the date it closes. On the web, confirm with Refund and end it (or Keep it). On the phone, the same two buttons in a confirmation.

The honest version

It's once per account, only for the first charge that took real money, and only within 7 days of it. It ends the subscription straight away. Refunds take 5 to 10 business days to reach the card. A tester on a 100%-off code has nothing to refund. It covers subscriptions started on the website. Bought in the iPhone app? Settings → Subscription → Request a refund asks Apple, and it's Apple's decision.

Product emails, only if you ask

Tips and news by email, only if you tick the box.

Sign-in codes and billing emails have to reach you. Anything else should be your choice, and a list built without asking isn't one we want.

How to use it

Settings → Emails from us → Send me product emails on the web; the same switch under Emails from us on the phone. It's also the last thing on the first run, unticked.

The honest version

Nothing sends product emails yet — see Not yet reachable.
